This weekend was awesome! We made it to Pittsburgh in five hours, and we didn't even have to wake up kittengirly and co. when we got there. (It was after midnight, and I was nervous.) I immediately injured myself, like the fool that I am, but I redeemed myself with a couple correct movie trivia answers.
crashrose and I talk too much. Far, far too much! Even I was annoyed by us, but everyone was polite about it.
Fat Head's still kicks serious ass. I had The Big Easy sandwich. It was so big that the corners of my mouth hurt for the rest of the weekend, due to all the stretching it took to bite the darned thing. Well worth it. Next time, we'll have to try the new Japanese restaurant across from my old apartment.
kittengirly and her hubby are excellent hosts! Their home is beautiful and comfortable, which is a difficult combination to master. They throw a mean party, and all of their friends are so nice it's ridiculous.
I will never tell anyone I was born in 1981 again. It's OK to say I'm 22, but I should leave it at that.
Ex-roomies P/S and alannabear attended the soiree. S/P kept putting things on her head, for some reason, and many, many horrendous stories of past indiscretions were shared. College, it would seem, is the time to do dumb things you'll regret and be embarrassed by for the rest of your life.
It was wonderful, as always, to see fasterthanlight and Si. 'Nough said. :)
We got to see good friend L for just a short time; she's always so busy. I'm sure we'll spend more time with her next time and not just because she still has our stuff in her basement. Maybe I'll even get a chance to stop by my former place of employment.
I missed out on hanging out with saintdani and revvoice entirely. The only free time crashrose and I had was during the day, and I figured they would be otherwise occupied out in Monroeville. I'm glad to read that they had a great time at the comic con. Maybe next year I'll have a real job and be able to go to the con, too.
We left Pittsburgh before 1 p.m. and made it home just before 6. Since we stayed under our budget for the weekend, crashrose treated me to a sushi dinner and Kill Bill, vol. 2. What a good movie! I think I liked the first one better, but I really, really liked both of them. Claustrophobics beware, though. *shudder*
