A brief update and a quiz

Thanks to all who participated in this Sunday's festivities. Thanks, also, to all who knowingly or unknowingly kept me from being the center of attention. Special thanks to momtastic for all everything -- and you know what I mean.

I am now the very proud owner of a happy fun pad and the awesome-est umbrella ever (see here)!

Without further ado,
If you could be instantly fluent in one other language that you currently do not read or speak, which would it be?

If you could have the starring role in any film already made, what would it be?
Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's.

If you could receive one small package this very moment, who would it be from, and what would be in it?
It would be my dance pad cover from RedOctane.

If you could own one painting from any collection in the world but were not able to sell it, which work of art would you select?
There's a painting in the Carnegie Museum in Pittsburgh of a hare. It's a little gruesome, since the hare was hunted, killed, and hung up, but it's breathtakingly realistic. Individual hairs make up the fur. The wood in the painting has a grain and knotholes. It's beyond realistic; it looks like a photograph. I couldn't take my eyes off it, and I always sought it out when I went to the Carnegie.

If you were instantly able to play one musical instrument perfectly that you never have played before, what would it be?

If you could possess one supernatural ability, what would it be?
Flight. Hey, I don't drive; it'd be great!

If you had to choose the most valuable thing you ever learned, what would it be?

If you could have only one piece of furniture in your house, what would it be?
I have to agree with learan: a big, comfy couch (sans Lunette and Molly). I could sleep; I could sit; I could entertain.

If you could read the private diary of someone you know personally, whose diary would it be?
No one. Total violation of privacy.

If you could have one person you know as your slave (well-paid and cared for) domestic laborer for one month, who would it be?
chans_mcgans could use the money, and I'm pretty low-maintenance, anyway.

If you could choose the way you will die, how would you want it to happen?
I guess I have some sort of messiah complex. If I could take all the pain, suffering, and sorrow of the world on myself, I'd do it in a second. I know it would kill me, but what a beautiful moment. Everyone in the world would be perfectly peaceful and serene, even if just for a moment. Who could ask for a better end than to be some relief to all mankind? I would love to make everyone happy.

If you could wake up tomorrow to learn that the major newspaper headlines were about you, what would you want them to say?
cynthtastic finds a job!!!

If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?
Pay off 1_dumb_mick and momtastic's house. ... But I do have a pre-existing deal to buy 1_dumb_mick a boat. The first to one million!

If you could choose the music at your funeral, what would it be, and who would play it?
"Amazing Grace" played by a sole bagpiper.

If you could take away the vocal cords of any person, who would it be?
Howard Stern.

If you had to describe your idea of the perfect mate, how would you do it?
In a timeless and beautiful poem.

If you had to have a personal friend redecorate your house, who would you pick to do it?
saintdani: awesome, comic-book decor!

If you had to choose the worst home you've ever lived in, which one was it?
Probably 70 Stewart because I spent so much time being afraid. Really, though, I've lived in good places where I was happy.

If you could learn the total number of hours you have spent in your life doing one thing, what would it be?
!@#$%-ing around on the internet. It's gotta be years, and I'd be very curious to know exactly how long.

If you had to describe yourself as a child in one word, what would it be?

If you could own a single prop from any film ever made, what would you choose?
Fiona Apple's artwork from the movie Magnolia. (She did all of Claudia's artwork.)
